Where can I get a 4 bedroom house south of the M25 fo under £300k?

We live in South West Surrey in a medium size town house and my mortgage has gone through the roof. dh is desparate to train as a hypnotherapist but we can't afford for him to go part time to train. I love the town I live in but am fed up with living between two tenanted houses (with horrible noisy occupants) so am seriously thinking about moving. Need to be within a couple of hours commute from London, Bristol, Ipswich as we have offices in those places.

Is it possible? Ideally looking for small town or village with reasonable rail links close by and good primary schools.
