It's a strainer - you can drain a pot of potatoes or veg, hold it up against the pot and just drain the water. I love mine but my husband prefers a colander.

I think it’s for straining vegetables instead of a colander, you use it to hold them in the pan whilst the water drains.

It's used to drain water from a pan. Tip the pan, drain the water through that gadget and veg stay in the pan.

Never knew how to get rid of elks or measure worms before so that's another problem sorted ;)
