we live on a private estate where parking etc is controlled by the managing agents appointed by the residents association rather than the council. Over the last year we have had residents parking extra cars in the turning areas at the end of the culdesac which makes it very difficult for ourselves and another neighbour to get into and out of our drives(I usually have to do a 5 point turn!). However this other neighbour for some reason which they will not divulge will not work with us to pressurize the managing agents to physically change the area so it can still be used for turning but deter parking. We have checked the estate rules which clearly states as part of the deed of transfer that parking is only allowed in garages,on drives and in designated car parks. whe only way forward we can see is clamping illegally parked cars however both the residents association and managing agents were relunctant to do this as they were concerned about the legallity and cost. Can we force the managing agents to take action and how legally binding are rules for private estates? Has anyone had experience of a similar problem and were there any effective solutions?
