Made to measure French doors

Has anyone had French doors made in either composite or aluminium?
We are having aluminium windows fitted and when we have asked about the door they all come up with excuses how it would be difficult to make.
Surely it isn't that rare.

Is the photo you've posted of aluminium or composite doors rather than wood? If it is then ignore this, but I would have thought it would be unusual to find because french doors are traditional and IMO look best in wood, whereas composite or aluminium are modern and quite 'hard' looking so not really suited to the french door style. If you just mean double doors that open outwards then wickes and probably others do doors that would suit aluminium windows but I think it's because you're trying to mix a modern material with a traditional style that it would be rare and might look a bit strange?

Not impossible, but less manufacturers than say wooden or pvcu doors so slightly harder to find. See some samples before you commit as they can look quite commercial (but can look fantastic in the right scheme)
