Toilet stands away from wall - is this right?

Should our toilet be this far from the wall? Generally very unhappy with our bathroom fitter so questioning everything.

Just been to check ours. Yep, ours has a similar gap as your cistern. Your actual toilet bit looks like it has a slight curve so appears to be a bigger gap.

The design of the toilet isn't straight so it could not sit flush against the wall.

our toilet/cistern has silicon stoppers on the back so can't go closer to the wall.
looks fine to me

Mine has a gap similar to this. However, as you look at it from the doorway the sink is in the way, plus I have a small bin next to it so you don't actually notice it.
