Cutting picture rail around bay window

I'm looking to put up a picture rail in two rooms, but one includes a bay window. I understand about using the mitre box for the corners and around the chimney breast, but the bay window is a different angle. Can anyone talk me through it? I've not had much luck by googling!

people who are fond of woodwork use a sliding mitre saw that will do all sorts of strange angles

There were manual tools predating that but I don't know how to do it.

I suppose you'd measure the angle and make your own mitre box accordingly.

A competent person could do it with a ruler, pencil and a handsaw, but it takes practice

You need someone fond of woodwork and/or old tools.

ask on www.diynot.com/diy/forums/woodwork/

Or see if you know someone with a shedful of woodworking toys.
