Hello. Does anyone have feedback, pros and cons, on living in Great Kneighton/ the new developments on the south side of Cambridge? We already live quite close to there so am familiar with the area and Cambridge, but trying to work out what it might be like to live in one of these massive new developments.
Do they feel like they have life in them? I have several friends who live there and I've been to view properties, but it always feels like a ghost town and rather sterile. Clearly it will soften up as time goes on and when all the marketing banners and awful flags etc come down, but I'm concerned it's just an "upmarket" toy town.
School is not an issue, but transport and links are. Clearly there are the guided busway and cycle routes, but really how safe and easy to use are they for teenagers and adults, especially in hours of darkness? How easy is access to city centre and the station etc from there?
Appreciate any thoughts as we are genuinely torn. Love a house we've seen and it could be a great opportunity and make life easier in several respects, but not sure we are all convinced yet!
TIA
