What's it like?

West St Leonards follows the Victorian topography: posher housing atop the hills. Also, like London, one street can be grim (e.g.: Carisbrooke/Kenilworth Roads) & round the corner, leafy (e.g.: The Lawn, Albany Road, Boscobel Road.)
IMO, the streets around West St Leonards seem suburban respectable: Essenden Road, Boscobel Road North - an 'unadopted' road network.
Avoid food shopping in London Road, perfectly good row of shops at the bottom of Essence along the coast road A259 & on to new Aldi at Bulverhythe & Ravensbourne shopping centre (neither of which areas are salubrious)
