We've done the tiles, now lets sort out bathroom furniture

We're getting the baths, showers etc from bathstore.com, but I'm not keen on their cupboards (limited range, too small etc).

Can anyone recommend other suppliers of this type of thing? I want something better than B&Q etc, but not silly prices. We'll be using only base units, no wall or floor-to-ceiling ones.

What colours look OK? I think pale beech can look a bit dated and I hate white cupboards.

Anyone? I've been googling all afternoon and am stumped.

Has anyone used kitchen units/worktops in a bathroom?

There's a place near me called Bathrooms at Source that seems to have some nice stuff in. Othewise have you tried anywhere like Dolphin or Porcelanosa?

Also John Lewis also worth a look. I got a lovely mirrored cabinet from there recently,a although v. v. expensive.

Will check out John Lewis. Didn't realise they did bathrooms. MIL had a bad experience with Dolphin, which puts me off them.

John Lewis do everything. I love them.

IKEA is a brilliant idea, especially if the bathroom fitter builds the units not me. Does mean having to go there though.

Turns out that my local(ish) JL don't really do bathrooms, just towel rails etc.

Some Ikeas do on-line now. I know the one in Croyden does.

Oooh yes, my nearest one does too (MK). I'd forgotten that. Could avoid the hell of visiting altogether.

It is hell isn't it? Even on a Tuesday morning it's still packed full of people.
