Central Heating but no hot water

I have a Worcester boiler which was last serviced in February this year by British Gas professional.
This morning, when I turned the boiler on for hot water there was some noise from the pipe (near boiler) and there was no hot water in the taps. It sounded like there is air in the pipes which is hammering the inside of the pipes.
All the radiators are heating up as normal but no hot water. All the lights in the boiler are on as normal.
When I turn the hot water tap, a green light comes up on the boiler as it always did in the past.
In the past, using only the radiator mode will give me hot water in the taps but today I am not getting hot water in either radiator mode or water mode or both.
The boiler pressure needle is in the green zone and above 1 bar.

probably the diverter valve has gone. However, have you tried simply turning the boiler off at the mains for a while, & then turning it back on?

Hi
Yes, turned the boiler completely for 10 minutes and turned back on - that didn't help at all.

I'm afraid if there's nothing wrong with your water supply, and all the controls are in their usual positions you are going to need a Gas Engineer. Of course, that's just the opinion of a random person on the internet! - Hopefully someone will come on with a solution.

Came on to see the responses as I've the same boiler and somehow when heating is on the shower in my en-suite is hot but bathwater is cold to lukewarm...same system. Neither is hot when I just putniton water hearing only. Also have underfloor heating an only 2 rooms seem to be working and heating up way past 30 degrees. Terrible timing as notably are there no plumbers but I'm broke from Christmas! Empathy from me OP.

that's a different problem.

It's normal with a combi in winter.

Turn the bath tap half-on. Does the water get hotter than when it's full on? Slowly adjust it to your optimum position for amount of flow and hotness of water.

Oh thanks piglet! Will check when we come home. If it works I'll be so so grateful! We've missed our baths!
