Oh well back to the beginning again! The property was for sale at 375k offer of 360k paper work going through the buyer dropped to 340k because of brexit! The other apartments in the block are listed at 525k! the one above sold at 430k in Sept. Ok so mine has been rent out for the last 10years and needs a complete refurb... new everything but really ? 20k because of brexit right before christmas? There are other issues that are a pain but this was reflected in the original price. Anyone interested in a 3 bed in Brighton that needs a new everything?

Pm me a link please

Spartasprout · 21/12/2018 23:25

They look overpriced to me - I think that's a massive difference between aspiration and reality.

Spartasprout · 21/12/2018 23:26

By which I mean comparing top rates to those actually achieved.

Spartasprout · 21/12/2018 23:27

Oh and Brexit is an excuse.

Els1e · 21/12/2018 23:30

So sorry for you - what a nightmare. But you are right being philosophical. Start again, reassess your price, what you need to sell for, your market. Hope 2019 goes better

PickAChew · 21/12/2018 23:31

Surely they knew about brexit when they made the offer?

fabulousathome · 22/12/2018 00:40

Hopefully what you buy is cheaper too? Thats what people keep saying to me.

Our buyers pulled out and we have new buyers but at 25k less now.

I hope they are right.

I am not buying anything so there is no chain and no gain for a reduced price. Spartasprout you are totally right at the 525K, no way is worth it ! 430k is kind of ok .I have been in the one above and the spec of the kitchen and bathroom is kind of...... ok for renting but not really that great. i think it had been on the market for 450k.

The buyer came back with 345K It has been rented out so maybe just a quick tart up and back to renting it out again ah well.... I know It will sell in the summer easier and after the market settles ....... Alex if you want to have a peak I will send you the link ;) It is definitely a fixer upper :)
