Recommendations for induction hob and ovens please?

Hi all, we are doing a house renovation and a new kitchen as part of it. Just been told I need to have chosen hob and ovens by early January (along with a lot of other choices... and christmas...). Hoping to pick the MN collective brain.

I would like a 90cm hob, with some flex zones and good power. Oh and slidy controls not tap tap tap. Budget is reasonable (4 figures, though not £4000 like one I just saw Shock) we use the hob a lot so I’m willing to splash out.

For ovens I have no idea. I know I want self cleaning (pyrolitic?) and either telescopic shelves or a really strong door so I can put pots on it. I don’t bake much, a few roasts and casseroles, tbh the grill gets used more than the oven. Definitely don’t need anything fancy like steam or whatnot.

If you love your induction hob or oven and it’s reasonably recent please tell me what model it is! Equally if you hate yours that’s good to know too...

Thank you

Thanks! Samsung is a new one to me, didn’t realise they made hobs. Sounds good though.

Still reading and I will look up all recommendations next week (up wrapping presents at the mo!). Quite sold on the slide and hide. Don’t want a detachable control for the hob as I will lose it...

I think I want it sunk into the worksurface as there’s less chance of chipping an edge...hopefully... we use cast iron a lot so a bit worried about damaging the hob.

We had gas hobs for 20 years. I haven't once regretted switching to induction although we have an electric induction range not a separate hob. Being able to give the hob a simple wipe down is great.
