Bath tap won't work - what to do?

This mixer bath tap has stopped working. I don't know when it stopped as we don't use it very often, but it used to work and now it doesn't. I turn the handles and nothing happens - or at least when I tried yesterday I got a small trickle, but now I don't even get that. All the other water outlets in the house are fine.

The only thing I can think of that would have caused it was that we had a new boiler and radiators installed 10 days ago and all the water was switched off for a while, but that may be a red herring.

What do I need to do?

it has a hot and a cold tap. No water comes out from either?

Do either of the basin taps work?

Have you got a hot-water cylinder? What colour?

Have you got one or two tanks in the loft? Are they empty?

I see it has a shower diverter (with no hose)

What position is it in?

Thanks PigletJohn. It took me a while to figure out what you meant, but when I fiddled with the switch between the tap and the shower part (which I hadn't noticed before - we just moved here in August) it seemed to start working again. It must have got stuck between the two somehow. Thank you for the tip!
