Blocked pipes leading to saniflo plus

Hi, can anybody advise? I have a loft bathroom where the sink loo and shower all drain through a saniflo plus.
The sink is draining very slowly and so is the shower, the loo is fine and the saniflo also fine. I need to unblock whatever gunk- probably hair is blocking the pipes from the shower and sink. Is there anything chemical people have used that hasn’t killed their saniflo? I haven’t seen any specific saniflo products other than their cleanse and de scale and I think that’s just for the actual saniflo as opposed to the pipes leading into it.
Thanks.

Does the shower have a trap, and the sink have a U bend?

If so, remove them, clean them out, job done.

I don't bother with sink unblockers, better to get underneath and get your hands dirty for a bit.

I might have to get something like one of those flexi rods that you feed down to grab the gunk. The sink is a tiny cloakroom one and it’s so close to the wall I can’t work out how to get the pipes apart. Shower has what impresuming is a trap- the metal flat cover lifts out, this has a cillinder on the back that catches most of the gunk or bits. I clean this once a week, I think it’s whats getting past that point.

OK, we'll in that case I'd recommend HG drain unblocker. The HG range has always worked for me (although I've never used this one I've used a lot of the others and they're leaps and bounds ahead of your Mr. Muscle type nonsense)

HG liquid drain unblocker is very safe. As the product is ready for use, there is a much smaller chance of splashes. There is no danger of making the blockages worse, as can be the case with powder or granular products. HG liquid drain unblocker is thorough and effective. Plastic pipes are of course unaffected.

Maybe give them a call and ask about your saniflow if you need piece of mind.

Failing that, coat hanger.... ;)

Good luck.

Tackled the sink with a very long crochet hook 😂🤢and it worked a treat. Sink now draining beautifully. Shower is sooo slow and very annoying. I’ve realised I may be mistaken about the trap. I thought the trap was the cover over the drain in our shower- it just lifts out, has a cilinder backing that fits into a wider drain that is about a third full of water. Anyway this is what I’ve been popping out and cleaning. I’m going to see if I can get something to physically put into that drain and poke about before I go for anything else. Thanks for the tips.

Hi. Sorry to resurrect a very old thread 😳
I have a Saniflo which is the very bane of my entire existence. I just wanted to know if you had successfully used a pipe cleaning fluid on it.
Thanks (if you’re even still on Mumsnet and see this!).
