Finally having a new kitchen installed next week, and we'll be without one for 2 weeks. I've got space in the lounge for the microwave and a mini fridge - but what are your top tips for surviving with no kitchen??

Good to hear! We've been though 9 months of chaos with this house so far - hopefully the kitchen will be plain sailing!

Although having been horrified by bawbles’s tale, although my kitchen (1970s) is mainly operational, I have been without an oven for nearly 2 years. Would kill for a pizza and a proper jacket potato!

We bought a single pan portable induction hob from IKEA. Much better than an electric one and can be sold on more easily afterwards. You can get by with something like that and a microwave for a week or two.

Have just done same and it was no working kitchen for 4 weeks. 2 weeks sounds crazy at this time of year. 2 days was allowed in plan for plaster drying and it took 6 days in the end. Tap arrived broken, floor took n extra 4 days for levelling. These delays all add up
