We're looking to fit concertina type blinds onto the windows and double doors of our newly built extension. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can look for them. I believe you can you can get ones that click onto the frame

We have Perfect Fit slim venetian blinds on our french doors. They were fitted by our local budget blinds company for around £85 a door. On the side windows we have the same slim venetian blinds but not with the Perfect Fit frame as it didn't fit into our windows well (the handle was food close to the frame).

We were advised against the concertina blinds on doors as they can get marked/dirty easily (especially if you leave doors open as they are then outside exposed to the elements) and are also more likely to get damaged if knocked.

We've had them 2 years and very happy with them, we previously had verticals in the door/window which I hated, the perfect fit blinds are much neater.

Thank you @BrokenWing that's really helpful. Was your blind company a national one or local independent? Did they come out and measure for you or did you do your own measurements?

It was a local blinds company, they came out with a section of the perfect fit frame so we could see what it would look like (from inside and out) and also colour samples for the blinds. There were 7 shades of white (and other colours) to choose from!! We picked the white closest to our 20 year old upvc French doors.

They also measured the other windows we wanted done, then came back and fitted a couple of weeks later.

We got ours here

We have them on bifold-style doors but we only have two doors in the stack, so they look like yours when closed.

We measured ourselves and had no issues. I expect a local firm would be cheaper and would measure/ fit for you. These are self-fitted which is quite tricky simply because they are a tight fit. Once they are up they look good.

One thing I would say is that our cats tend to stretch up onto them when they want to go out, so we have a few holes in them. I still like them, because we can vary the amount of light coming in and completely cover the windows at night.

No issues with weather damage but we don't have the doors open in poor weather anyway.
