Areas around Glasgow/Stirling

Anyone live in an area around/Not too far from Glasgow/Stirling and love it?

I'd be looking for an area with a decent high school and a 3 bed house for under 250k.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi I'm just outside of falkirk. I have a lovely 4 bed house and paid 200k for it. Good high schools nearby. 30 mins from Glasgow and 15/20mins from stirling. Pm me if you want more info. Also I'm originally from England.

East Renfrewshire. Schools get a great reputation. You should be able to get a 3 bed semi for around 250k in parts of it.

Thanks guys.

I know Bearsden. I like it but maybe prefer Milngavie. I also wonder if there is anywhere also nice to live but where you get a bit more house for your money.

I'm not bothered about the 'best' schools, I just want somewhere that has a fairly decent high school and is a nice place to live.

We are currently very rural so dc are total country bumpkins. But I'm noticing now that the older kids nearby are drinking/smoking weed etc and I wonder if a move would be good. Somewhere that has plenty to do to keep teens busy. Tennis courts/sports centre/ decent public transport. We have none of this at the moment.

kay I like both Dunblane and Callander. Think McLaren hs would be a good school for my dd. Not too dissimilar to what we have here but on a bigger scale.
