Does anyone know who the official body is that oversees lettings agents. Is it the property ombudsmen for lettings?

Thanks

It’s ARLA, Association of Residential Letting Agents

I don't think there is an overall body but if they claim affiliation to ARLA or NAEA you can complain to them.

Property ombudsman, once you’ve been through the agency’s complaints process (or you’ve tried to and they’ve not come back within a certain time frame)

ARLA is their regulatory body, but the property ombudsman is the redress scheme (or at least used to be)

But the agent does have to be a member

It is the property ombudsman. They have a webpage. www.tpos.co.uk

The property ombudsman or NALS?

Thanks for all the replies. It does look like TPO for redress if direct complaint not handled sufficiently in this particular agents case.
