Packing for move

Hoping to exchange tomorrow with a completion date next week. I have started decluttering and packing up into moving boxes but it's all the clothes that I don't know how to pack (and we have a lot!) I'm only moving one street over so we aren't using a removals company or van as it's so close. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a trailer, van etc to move wardrobes, chests etc?

I've stuck all the "out of season" clothes (the vast majority of our clothes given the weather...) in bin bags - a lot still on hanger. I'm sure I'll regret that when I unpack them next week and they look like they've been used as the dog's bed for weeks, but the thought of taking them all of the hanger, folding, and then rehanging at the other end was soul destroying at the time!

I find clothes easy easier to pack, I'm just using strong bin bags. Although the removals guy said they have hanging rail type containers for the railed clothes.

Bin bags are your friend

Although I didn't empty out the drawers of our chest of drawers, they just put something round to stop them falling out

Wheelie bin bags for larger soft stuff, duvets, sofa cushions etc.

Thanks everyone. We're literally only moving 30 metres away and thought I could just load the car up and transfer but even then, there's still so much! I've bought some storage bags from IKEA and I'm on the process of filling them up!

VeniVidiWeeWee we're going to move the carcasses of the wardrobes and drawers ourselves by carrying them to our new house ourselves. Hoping that without the doors and drawers in then they won't be too heavy.
