Help me choose window treatments. What material or style should I go for?

I have 2 rooms to sort out. They both have 2 windows.
The kitchen needs 2 blinds that are 175 Xmas wide.
I’m thinking that an inset roller blind is the most practical. The kitchen is navy blue with anthracite windows and white walls.
I like patterns but I’m scared of making the wrong choice. 😣

My study is a large room with a metre square window and a very wide window at the front.

I don’t want curtains and ideally would like shutters but the cost may be prohibitive and I’m not sure they will shut out daylight when the room is a spare bedroom.

Where do I start? Should I go for roman blinds instead? How to choose material?

Any one got any sage advice?

We have these from blinds2go - we thought we’d get them now and upgrade to shutters in a few years. I don’t love them but they look good enough and better than normal Venetian blinds. They are sooo practical though - the windows we have them in are super bright so we love having the option to let some light through.

Was just about to suggest blinds2go, too. Used them recently. Impressed with price/quality/speed.

They send fabric samples the next day, which was great!

Thanks. Ive just ordered 4 blinds from them. 2 like the photo above in light grey and 2 roman blinds.

You’ll not be disappointed. We ordered two huge made to measure wooden slatted blinds from Blinds2go, about 6 years ago and they’re still perfect.
Since then we’ve used them on nearly all our windows. All perfect and delivered promptly. I’m always recommending them to my family and friends.
