Exterior wall paint colour with yellow front door

Our house is half rendered and the top half red tile hung. The front door is red. I would love a bright yellow front door, but as we currently have cream walls it would look odd. Can anyone suggest a paint colour which would not be too dazzling (ie white is a no no) but will also go with the yellow door and the red tile hung bit. Ta!

Any shade of grey? Can’t say yellow and red tiles would look great together.

I think the red tiles are far enough away from the door for it not to look weird. I'm not sure a grey, no matter how pale, would work. I was thinking a chalky white colour would tie everything in better. The red tiles were alreay on the house when we bought it, and are not something I would choose. I can't wait until we can afford to remove or replace them.

You said not white!!! That is why I said pale grey!

Just google yellow front door and nearly every picture has grey or white! If you must have yellow, you do not have many options! In my view.

Ah oh yes blushes I meant to say not brilliant white Grin I'll google some and see what comes up.

I think I’d avoid yellow with red as well, even with some distance. We have a neighbour with a yellow door and while it’s a lovely shade, it looks absolutely awful with the rest of the house.

Sorry, I know that’s not what you wanted to hear.
