Looking for recommendations and great/terrible experiences with building and contents insurance providers.

I am buying my first property (under £200k) and am completely overwhelmed!

We insured with directline. I had to make a buildings claim with them 6 years ago and they were fab. I've also had to use their emergency call out for an electrician and again, they were great. Paid up quickly, easy to deal with etc etc.

I'm just about renew and I went to a broker. Her couldn't match my renewal price, he was over £100 pa more expensive so he suggested I renew with DL again, which I will.
