Need some advice please! Our current house getting too small for us now, had extension plans drawn up last summer and planning permission was granted in November. However, neighbours totally against it from the start and are now totally ignoring us to the point of just looking through us when they see us. This was to be our forever home hopefully, once we extended, but the strain of all this has decided us to make a move and hopefully have nicer neighbours. Will still be at our current jobs, but don't mind a bit of a commute. The areas in the title seem to tick our boxes, are they all about the same. Appreciate Pool and Menston seem to be more villagey than Otley, we like all three, are any friendlier than the others, am worried about moving again and getting grumpy folk next door again!

We live in one of those so have name changed to answer. I think there’s likely to be grumpy people everywhere so if I was moving to the area I would choose somewhere which is not squashed in. I would prefer detached but they are very expensive in Pool and Menston. Otley is a little less posh and prices are therefore cheaper.

Have a look at some of the Facebook groups for them as that gives you an ideaof what they are like. One of the Otley groups is full of sexist rubbish which I don’t like at all.

Pool is small and everyone knows each other. Very very friendly with a big sense of community if that’s what you want. Any other questions ask away!

Thanks Grasstains. Looking at four bedrooms and most of them do seem to be detached which is good. Looking at Facebook pages a good idea too!

What about burley?

Depends if you want to travel to central Leeds too, as otley doesn't have a train station. But isn't far to the nearest one.

Also what is your budget assume as that area is expensive especially for detached.

The huge advantage of Menston is the train station and I think that would be my choice. If I had the budget and the schools worked
