Farrow & Ball help please!

Would really appreciate some help. Recently got a hall table painted Calluna by Farrow and Ball. I hate it! I was going for grey and its lavender! I'm changing it to another Farrow & Ball colour and am torn between Cornforth White and Pavillion Grey. Has anyone got any of these colours (or indeed any other F &B colour that they love) and any views? The hall is painted peacock blue with white panelling. The purpleness of the calluna colour just seems to clash with the blue.

I love cornforth white, it's definitely grey though. I also like ammonite which is a paler shade of grey than Cornforth - more like white with a hint of grey. Dimpse is a lovely pale grey with a hint of blue.

I love F& B colours but you definitely need tester pots - they're not cheap but it's worth it because the colours look so different in different lights / different background colours. Some of their colours that they call green look more blue to me and vice versa.

Buy sample pots of the colours you fancy; worth it for £4.50 per pot.

Calluna is the Latin name for heather so I'd have expected it to be some shade of pink/lilac/mauve.

My friends husband is a decorator. He says F & B is the “I saw you coming” of the paint world! Really poor quality and flakes off!

We have F&B everywhere and it hasn’t flaked off! If you prep properly it is fine. The best thing is that you don’t get loads of colours that get discontinued or changed.

I agree with Cornfirth and Ammonite. Ammonite can be a little bit mauve in some lights and you might like to consider Wevet. It’s a very pale grey. I have not used Pavillion Grey but I think it’s a bit darker. What colours do F&B group in a family with Peacock blue?

Omer have been using F&B for about 8 years now and have never had it flake off? We don’t even buy the proper prep pain- we just make sure the surface we are painting is properly prepped.

Paint not pain!

I don't know the colours you mention but just another one to say I find F&B great quality. I have the old style chalky finish ones and dogs and I can wipe the paint down no problems too.
