Where do we stand?

House we are buying has an extension. Planning permission states the window should be opaque and unopenable due to neighbours privacy - following complaints. It is not, it is clear and openable. We have questioned the buyer and they have said they raised the fence when the extension was built and as a result the neighbours haven't mentioned it. The extension was built 4 years ago.

The window has fantastic views and it would really impact the room if we had to change it.

Can planning enforce us to change it? Is it likely they will find out?

I don't think they can, but you need to find out whether any enforcement action has been commenced by the council.
