I have a pretty standard story and being impacted by an inconsiderate upstair neighbour.
Neighbour has wooden flooring across his flat and they are heavy footed. All the walking is heard at mine as if there is DIY.... they wake up early 6am and then there is constant walking until 10am. Then constant walking from 8pm till midnight. It is really unpleasant and I can’t properly sleep. I had also guests at mine from time to time and everyone consistently woke up and thought it is quite bad.
I tried to discuss with my neighbour and they believe they don’t do anything which should cause nuisances. I think the main issue is the absence of any sound insulation... checked the lease agreement and there is no clause for carpeting...
I checked sound insulation for my ceiling but so far feedback is it will jot help with impact noise...
I am planning to offer my neighbour that i can cover the full sound insulation cost and even maybe offer financial goodwill.
I am really desperate to find a solution. Anyone experienced success with any offer similar to mine.
Any suggestions?
