Creaky bed

Apologies if this is the wrong section to post in.

Basically my double bed has been stored in a dry garage for about 12 years. I recently got it out and put it together again. However I have noticed that it's incredibly creaky when I make any movement. I am sure it's the slats. They looked a bit warped when I got them out.

Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

I have a pine bed that became really creaky after a few years. My oh went to work on it and screwed bits that were moving, and put angled metal joints in places (sorry, don't know what they are called, but they are small plates with a 90 degree bend that you screw on). It is totally ridgid now, and doesn't squeak at all. I think the wood shrinks over the years so you get too much movement.
So, a drill and screws should fix it.

Thanks Lucisky. Not getting creaks from wriggling posts so I am still thinking it is the slats!
