Internal doors?

I want to replace our internal doors with a white panelled cottage style.

I need a mix of standard width ones (78cm approx) some smaller ones (60cm) and also some larger width ones (84cm) with some kind of glazing for these ones.

Does anybody have a supplier or range that they can recommend please? Primed is fine as happy to paint.

B&Q have the standard and small ones but not the larger, partially glazed ones. I’ve tried Wickes and Wayfair also.

We have used XL Joinery before. They got a couple of local suppliers to quote and I negotiated extra off the price. Try here www.xljoinery.co.uk/WPSUF-Product-Suffolk-Internal-White-Primed-Door

Dunelm extra has a good choice. We used them to order a selection of sizes, glazed, half glazed and panelled doors.

Doors and floors galore. They will also make custom sizes.

have a look at Premdor. They're a manufacturer and seem fine to me. There will be a small door specialist in your town who can order anything they don't stock, including more sizes than you expected. Look at a sample first. Don't buy the £30 door that is made of air with a thin skin of hardboard or ply. They are rubbish

Handle ordinary, solid core and fire doors and observe the difference.

A carpenter or joiner can fit doors and locks much better than a handyman, and faster.

Consider replacing the linings ("frames") at the same time for a better job.

If you have a 3-storey house or HMO you will need fire doors. They are thicker and very heavy.

"Cottage" doors are usually boarded, not panelled.

Don't get doors with a fake embossed woodgrain effect.

Magnet and Howdens sell only to the trade, and the trade prices are heavily discounted, and secret.

Get your hinges and knobs at www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/search?SearchText=doorknobs

If you want knobs you will need a bigger backset.

Thanks for the recommendations everybody. I’ll be busy getting quotes (and avoiding the flimsy £30 doors!)
