What order to do these in?

I need to replace my living room bay window, which will also mean redecorating and therefore getting the walls replastered. I’ve decided it’s probably best just to go the whole hog and get then skirting boards/door replaced and change the carpet, possibly to luxury vinyl (any thoughts on that? I’m in flat if relevant).

So my question is, what order should I do this in, as I’ll need to spread the cost over a few months. The windows are obviously the biggest expense, but I’ve developed a deep loathing of the carpet and wondered if it will work to get the flooring, door and skirting sorted first, then replace the windows and replaster? Would need some sockets changing too, so would that be done after plastering or before? Confused

Thanks and sorry if this should all be blatantly obvious!

Window, electrics, re-plastering, flooring, skirtings. You can paint the walls either once the plaster is dry enough - mist coating before topcoat - or once the skirtings are on. If you are having painted skirtings, it's easier and will give a cleaner result, to paint them before they are put on. Natural wood can be oiled on the outer side, top and bottoms then fitted

If you are in a flat and getting vinyl flooring check first....some tenancies etc say carpet only due to noise issues having lived below a vinyl and laminate floor neighbour it was a living hell if clattering clumping and clicking depending who was walking about upstairs Confused
