Who has an oven next to their fridge freezer

I am in the early stages of thinking about a new kitchen. We have a big American style fridge freezer, and I would like an eye level double oven. The size and design of my kitchen. will mean the fridge freezer would be next to the unit housing the oven. I keep seeing mixed views on this so would love to hear from anybody who has this.

Thanks

We have this. Never thought of it as a problem, until now!

I have this. It's fine.

Yes so do we. No problems.

We have this,we have a bit of a gap between the oven cabinet and the fridge freezer (about 4/5cms) but the cabinet with the ovens in never even gets warm so not a problem.

We have too - never had a problem with it. I asked the kitchen design guy about it, he said that best practice was not to have them next to each other but lots of people did and had no problem.

we have this - it's fine.

We also have this. I queried when it was planned but all the experts said it was fine and six months later we haven’t had an issue at all.

So long as the oven is within its casing and doesn't touch the fridge freezer, I'd say it should be OK. I had a similar issue in that I had a slimline dishwasher right next to my freezer in my tiny flat year ago. When the dishwasher was on, it made the freezer motor run continuously, trying to keep the freezer temperature down, because of the heat from the dishwasher.

We are having a new kitchen fitted in a few weeks and will be having a double oven next to integrated fridge freezer, think there is an extra panel in between them to help

ovens in UK tall kitchen units usually have a 50mm gap at the back, open at the top and the bottom, so hot air can rise up and escape. The back panel is cut out behind the oven so it can ventilate into this cavity. Ikea cabinets are made differently, I don't know if they do that.

Also, modern ovens often have a cooling fan to ventilate the space inside the casing.
