It's been a while since we did any work on a house and consequently I'm a bit out of touch with prices. Looking at buying a renovation project. Could anyone help with guesstimates on the following? For context, detached 4 bed 1960s, good access, pricier part of the NW.
Full rewire
New rads throughout plus new pipework (currently not chased into walls)
Skim throughout (woodchip on all walls so once it's been removed I imagine they'll need it!)
Sand and refinish original wood block floors
New double glazing
Turn patio doors into window
The work to create a kitchen in an entirely new room, rather than the kitchen itself
Install two new veluxes into existing pitched room of single storey extension
Steelwork to open existing wall (which was previously external) into extension (currently just a doorway)
I know a lot of these are very dependent - on window sizes for example, I'm just looking for ball park figures/bag of fag packet type ideas.
