In reply to numerous posts about the above, it is not difficult to do. You just have to collect evidence patiently and professionally. I used a specialist Forensic Engineer to document numerous areas of substandard workmanship that a Builder had carried out. Eventually in Court common sense won the day and I obtained a CCJ against the builder in Farnborough, Hampshire. The moral of this story is for a few pounds you can check the online CCJ REGISTER. It may save months of anguish and many thousands of pounds !!!!!
After all, prevention is better than cure....
