Worried about our bathroom

We bought our house 2 years ago, brand new from Spire homes through part rent part buy. We mentioned the bath leaking before 6 months but nothing was done about it. We’ve had someone out to re grout the edges as they were black/cracked and we assumed that’s where the water was going. The whole shower screen around the bottom is falling apart and the skirting boards next to it are completely damp/rotten. It’s started to come through the wall on the outside (landing area). We didn’t realise how bad it was! The bathroom stinks of damp constantly.

How do we fix it?! Do we contact spire? Will they do anything? Is it going to cost a lot? Urgh!!!

Go back to the developer and see what they say. Do you have evidence that you complained about the bath leaking before 6 months?

It should still be under warranty so go straight back to the developer/housing association that you have purchased from and demand that they fix the issue/make good on the decor as a result. Same thing happened to us after purchasing a new build and although it took a bit of a battle, they eventually fixed our leak and redecorated.

TBH you should have chased this up when you first noticed it 18 months ago. I should imagine by now that a lot of damage has been done and it will need ripping out to check on damage behind the fixtures.
Get a builder in to give you an estimate of repair costs, check out your house warranty and contact the building company again. I dnt fancy your chances though!
