Today we became the proud owners of a shit hole!

It has great potential and is going to take a lot of work.

It's a lovely cottage on a farm in a lovely village in a lovely part of the country... but right now it's filled with faeces!

Wish us luck!

What are you going to tackle first? Well you know, after the faeces!Grin

Awaiting pics. Curious and bit scared.

Congrats on a cottage and hope you get it sorted. Be careful though. Facemasks and high gloves are a MUST

Congratulations! In what way is it filled with faeces? Human or animal? What sort of work will you need to do?

HugeGlassofMalbec · 25/07/2018 22:03

We're going to rip out EVERYTHING this week and then a professional cleaning company are coming in. Followed by a builder.

Pictures are attached.

We are hopeful that it's animal faeces but these people are filthy. There was also a definite rotting flesh smell today! ... I think maybe leg ulcers that have leaked into the carpet.

I can't see any.
Either way, really do be careful. It sounds like a hazmat situation tbh

We bought a 300 year old house, with sheep in situ. No windows, water etc. It's been our home for 16 years now and I love it. There's not a straight line in the place. But it's us. It's still a work in progress though

HugeGlassofMalbec · 25/07/2018 22:56

Thank you, Izz. I do enjoy hearing people's happy-horror stories!

My parents bought a shithole 30 years ago (we had to move in with grandparents for a while)... it's still our family home.
