Air lock in oil boiler

I had ran out of oil, got more delivered but the boiler wasn’t firing up so pushed the red button, opened the bleed valve and let the oil run until it was spilling out. Closed it again and the boiler fired up and ran for about a minute then stopped. I left it five minutes then pushed the red button again but it hasn’t fired up this time. Could there still be air in the system? Should I open the valve again? Or is there something else I can try?

You might have got sediment from the tank blocking the burners/other bits. I think you might have to call a service person out.

Yeah I suspected that might be the problem. Yuck. Was hoping to avoid having to paying £££ to fix it.
