A word of advice all, never book with the company Property Improvement and Maintenance services LTD (trading reg number - 06616795)
I wanted an outside tap fitted, told them they needed to bring a drill to drill through the wall (obviously - it was a outside tap)
The plumber arrived today, spent two minutes at my house, saying he hadn't brought the drill and charged me £106 and didn't do anything. Daylight robbery. Do not trust this company.

Why did you pay??

wowfudge · 18/07/2018 13:08

I wouldn't have paid either!

jg18 · 18/07/2018 13:22

They took the credit card details when I booked the appointment, to secure the appointment. Therefore I had to pay.

You should have recourse through your credit card company then at least. They have charged you for something that wasn't delivered.

I'd report them to trading standards. Surely a drill is a basic piece of kit needed to fit an outside tap! Absolutely disgraceful!

LIZS · 18/07/2018 13:33

Are they coming back? If not contact cc to dispute payment.

jg18 · 18/07/2018 14:12

I’ve spoken to my credit card company and they can’t stop the payment.
They offered to come back tomorrow with the needed drill, however they were going to charge me another £106! So I not surprisingly said no.

That's bonkers. Report to Trading Standards. If you told them they'd need to drill the wall and they didn't bring the right equity then that's their lookout. I suspect sharp practice and if I were you I'd get back on the credit card company.
