Buying out ex OH

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but me and my ex OH own a house together but aren’t married. I want to buy him out and take the mortgage on on my own, we’re currently out of our fixed term so need to remortgage anyway. Can anyone explain the process to me? I’ve no idea where to start or what I need to do first?

Speak to a mortgage broker, who will check that they can lend the total amount to you solely. When you remortgage, the legal team dealing with it should be able to sort out the transfer of the deeds at the same time (Land Registry TR1 form if I remember rightly). I did the same thing last year.
