DIY Kitchens

I'm visiting their showroom on Saturday. As we don't have huge budget for redoing our kitchen and because I've read good things on here swe thought we'd go check them out.

My husband like several of the styles which are vinyl or foil wrapped doors but I've read bad things about vinyl wrapped doors bubbling, does anyone have any experience of this with DIY kitchens or recommendations for styles?

Their showroom is great - lots of different styles on display and every different door style in the planning room on the ground floor. The staff aren't going to design or actively sell you a kitchen so are good for advice and guidance.

We went there twice: once to convince DP of the quality and the second time to sense check our shopping basket against our plan. We have a painted wood kitchen so I can't advise on the type you're looking at though, sorry. I thought it was the foil wrapped ones which were prone to lifting - I had one of those kitchens in my old house and it was in about 5 years before that started to happen.

I found this explanation useful when deciding on doors, went with solid wood in the end
