Repairing damaged ikea desk top

I’ve got an IKEA desk top which wasn’t expensive and has been scratched/ stained. I think the laminate stuff is pretty thin.

Is there something I can do to repair/ cover it so it looks better?
I’m a bit loathe to replace it as it’s still fine, just a bit ugly. 😬

If you live close to an IKEA have a look in bargain corer and ask the staff there. You may be able to get a replacement top for just a couple of pounds

Bargain corner*

Did you buy it using the Family Card? I think that you may be able to get a replacement FOC in that case (could be wrong, this is what my husband keeps saying, but we've not put it to the test).

You can get rolls of adhesive vinyl.

I’d be surprised if they replaced it - I’m guessing it’s probably just wear and tear. It’s just more noticeable as the laminate stuff is so thin.
Doesn’t help that I spilt some water on some post it notes and the colour instantly leaked out! 😬

Put some pretty paper on top and have a thick piece of glass cut to fit over it.
