Internal doors in supporting wall

Hello. We are currently looking at plans for re jigging our internal layout and have 2 ideas regarding an internal wall which we know to be supporting.
Option one is to remove the wall in its entirety which will need the full kit and caboodle of steels, a cage for certain and v. Expensive
Option 2 came to me this evening as technically we can re jig plans and instead insert internal preferably double doors in this wall instead.
Does anyone know if this is a possibility?
I have the first builder later this week for quoting and I am trying to work out if it’s worth this second option.
From a layout point of view the first option has the slight edge but I’d be happy to compromise on the second option if the cost saving was there.
Any thoughts gratefully received

You will need a Lintel above the new doors . Ask the builder to quote. Should be less than taking the whole wall out.
