Completion day but still waiting.

So today is our completion day, FTB, no chain. Our solicitor is waiting for the vendor's solicitor to acknowledge receipt of completion funds and authorise key release. Does it usually take this long? Nationwide already sent the funds on Friday and we’ve sent our deposit to our solicitors weeks ago before exchange.
(We’re not moving in today but then). Does it usually take this long? What time did you complete?

It is written into our contract that we’ll be out not before 1.45 and Ito our buying contract that they’ll be out by 2pm

In the same situation as you I waited til about 4pm for the keys.

The sellers already moved out on Friday as they were moving in with family in Scotland. So basically empty house but still waiting.

Nag your solicitors - they move at the speed of a snail!

Now need to go and get the keys and see the house.
