5 weeks exchange to completion

Is this too long to ask for? Is it going to piss everyone off?
We’re going on holiday two weeks on Tuesday and are away for 2 1/2 weeks.
I want to exchange ASAP, but it would be a nightmare to move in two weeks or less. (Because I work in education and have so much end of term stuff happening over the next two weeks!)

Fine to ask, you may hit others going on holiday though.

Depends entirely on the circumstances of the people in the chain. I don’t think a month is unreasonable, but may not work for all parties if they need to get settled quickly.

Definitely pay the moving company to pack for you. So worth it, as you literally do a day of sorting beforehand.

My seller asked for this - exchange next week and complete at the end of August. I am delighted by it, as it works out well with holidays and availability of workmen for plumbing etc. You can only ask and see what they come back with.
