Quooker tap upkeep

If you have a boiling water tap, do you have it serviced and if so how often? Or if you don’t, have you encountered any problems? We are in a very hard water area (London). I was wondering if there is a DIY option with a descaling tablet. TIA

I get Quooker in every 2 years to service mine. I’m in a very hard water area. You ‘could’ dismantle and service yourself but I wouldn’t.

We descaled ours - the manual is very easy to.understand but a tablet isn't going to hack it I think. We removed around 500g of limescale. We then had the quoker inline filter put in.

Our Quooker chap showed us how to DIY next time & showed me links on youtube. It won’t take long if you’re confident.

The amount of limescale the engineer pulled out was shocking. The water always flowed much faster after the service.

Have a look online at tutorials, you should find several.
