Have you had your bungalow’s loft converted?

We’re in the process of trying to buy a 1930s bungalow and would like a rough idea of the costs involved in converting the loft to one, possibly two bedrooms, plus bathroom. We’d probably need a dormer.

If anyone has done similar and can give me a rough idea of cost I’d be really grateful. We’re in the SE.

Thanks

No idea but my friends have done theirs and have to sleep downstairs in the summer as it is so hot. Just giving you a heads up.

Thanks Imfinel I currently live in a bungalow with a loft conversion -done long ago so no idea of costs - and it’s fine, as was the one I grew up in! You need to know what you’re doing in terms of which windows to open and when - it makes a huge difference - and it has to be properly insulated to start with. In this heat our downstairs bedrooms are just as hot as the one upstairs anyway Smile
