Google Trainline.com

Windsor isn’t on the mainline branch - you have to take the connector train at Windsor to Slough and then the slough train goes onto Reading.

In that case, it won't be a contrnder, unless we buy a car.

I presume your job is central reading? Windsor to Reading is a bit of a pain, did it for a few years the other way round (lived outskirts of Reading worked in Slough then Windsor, so it was bus-train-train for me). Basingstoke to Reading is a direct line, some nice village locations if you can drive to station.

You could cycle to slough train station, wouldn’t take long depending where in Windsor. Eton is between the two if you like there?

I once looked at few houses in Windsor but quickly ruled these out due to Aircraft noise. Its right next to Heathrow airport and under the flight path. Also as mentioned earlier the train connections arent good either.
