Does anybody have this? If so is it comfy and how is it wearing?

I want to order it but DH thinks it’s not that comfy. He also prefers it in leather but the price for leather is eye watering!

We have the corner one and love it. 2 friends also have it! Had 16m and looks pristine

I’ve loved it for years now and just want to go for it!

Go for it! Our other option was a John Lewis grey one that was £1000 more, I think this one more stylish and very comfy. Only problem me and DH fight over who gets to stick their legs out .... I would advise buying a footstool maybe? I wish it came in a U shape!!

I have the 3 seater. I think it looks nice and is comfy with a good back - I hate the squishy pillow ones.

IllhaveaPpleaseBob · 30/06/2018 22:37

We have the 4 seater & we love it. It's really comfy & it's so long 2 of us can stretch out on it. We've had it 18 months & so far it's wearing well. Very happy with it.

WeirdScenesInsideTheGoldmine · 30/06/2018 22:46

I’ve got the turquoise one, it’s my pride and joy!! It’s the biggest four seater I could find 228cm I think, and it’s MAGNIFICENT

SlipperyLizard · 01/07/2018 13:06

We have a leather 3 seater, we love it but we’re still wearing in the leather to make it less sloppy-offy. Wish we’d bought the 4 seater! With 2 kids and a dog leather is the only choice for us, but the price difference is massive.

We sat on loads of sofas and this was by far the best in terms of comfort and style.

WeirdScenesInsideTheGoldmine pics, pretty please!

I have the two and three seater in blue and although I do like it, I don’t think it is great quality. The base cushions slide easily so you have to fix them everytime you stand up! We also have just noticed that a spring is poking through the underside of the two seater so I need to phone DFS and see about getting it fixed. Should be under warranty though!

It does fit in my small living room very well though and very comfortable for watching TV. Reasonably high up too so that old people don’t struggle to get up from them.

We have the blue 4 seater one and we love it. It's super comfy and big enough for 3 of us and the dog. No one wants to sit on the other sofa these days. It's still as comfortable as it was 2 years ago, and the covers have wiped clean really well after the occasional spill.

BubblesBuddy · 27/01/2019 01:19

My DD has a 4 seater grey one. It’s absolutely fine and is usually sold at a good price. The fabric appears hard wearing and is stain resistant. The base cushions need turning over every so often to maintain shape but, other than that it’s been a good buy. It’s only 6 months old though! (I like the velvet but we were not sure how durable this would be. More glamourous though!)

peachypetite · 27/01/2019 01:24

I was going to buy this until I read all the recent reviews about base cushions sliding.

Harteyc · 07/01/2020 19:09

@toastedbeagle This is the exact couch and shape we are planning on purchasing this week. However I have read numerous reviews about how annoying it is that the cushions keep sliding forward. Has that been your experience?

toastedbeagle · 08/01/2020 07:30

I suppose the cushions do slide forward, although in 2 years this is the first time I’ve thought about it. I have 2 young kids so I always thought it was them messing about as they don’t move when i sit on it. It takes a second to push them back whilst I flump the cushions, wouldn’t put me off buying it again. In fact we’re about to move to a bigger house and I might get another to match.

BubblesBuddy · 08/01/2020 10:04

DDs haven’t gone forward but they need a good plump every so often. My Designers Guild one moves a lot more and that was multiples of the price.

SlipperyLizard · 08/01/2020 10:18

My sister has the fabric version and her cushions do move forward, but probably not a reason to avoid it if you like the style. Our cushions on the leather version don’t move at all, but we haven’t quite managed to wear it in properly, so it is still a bit slippy-offy.

BorneoBabe · 08/01/2020 10:30

Sliding cushions wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me. You can buy velcro to hold it in place for a tenner on Amazon.

Harteyc · 08/01/2020 14:36

Thanks for the feedback guys. We just bought it. Apparently they made changes to it based on customer feedback.

LauraSimmonds · 05/04/2020 19:11

Hi everyone, was just wondering whether you ordered the standard cushions or the memory foam ones? I’m undecided which would be best...

SunnyAgain · 28/04/2020 22:36

Hi @LauraSimmonds we bought the DFS Zinc sofa in teal fabric with memory foam cushions about 3 months ago. I actually preferred the softer feel of the non-memory foam but thought over time the memory foam would hold its shape better and apparently it gets softer over the first 6 months or so.
Incidentally we haven’t noticed any slippage of the seat cushions (one of my concerns) and in fact the cushions fit very snuggly side by side so they are pretty firmly wedged in place.
