Has anyone got a decent one that they can recommend?

The best I seem to have found is this one.

Local shed places don't seem to make them so it looks like it is an online purchase. I am not sure that linked one looks as sturdy as something we would have made ourselves but we don't have time to make one these days.

I like it. But a local recommended handyman/carpenter could knock one up for a more reasonable price than that I'm sure.

Try wayfairer. We are looking for one too and they have quite a big range.

Singlebutmarried · 30/06/2018 09:06

We had one made by a local handy man. It’s ace.

I’ll see if I can pm you a pic

loobylou10 · 30/06/2018 09:08

Wayfair do one.

theboxofdelights · 30/06/2018 12:47

Thanks for the the responses, have asked locally and even asked the guy who was replacing our fence last week, no one has been interested.

I had to wait two months for the fence man

That's a shame. Worth their weight in gold some one decent.

Next Directory do 2, a double one and a triple one

springmachine · 01/07/2018 00:24

My DP is a carpenter and even he doesn't want to make me one of these and has said we would buy one instead!! Angry

theboxofdelights · 01/07/2018 09:56

Spring Shock. I don’t expect to save money by getting one made, tradesmen are £140-200 a day here depending on what they do, plus materials.

I just thought I might get a better end product. I might try a few shed places further away and if not go for the one I linked to which appears to do exactly what we need.

@theboxofdelights
I was looking at exactly the same one you linked to.

I've been looking on and off for ages and need to just buy the bullet and buy one.

It's going to arrive needing assembly anyway so I can't see how it's that much extra work for DP to do it from scratch but there you go.

I've got some lovely bespoke furniture in the house made by him but it takes a long time and I'm still waiting on the wardrobes having internal shelves fitted Hmm

Thanks Espresso - if you look at their premier one it looks exactly like the one I linked to, just painted. I don't want slats and I don't want painted (fussy!) so I will just order the one I linked to I think and move on! I have spent far too long searching online for something sturdier.

We got advised they were rat magnets but I don't know if anyone else has found that?

theboxofdelights · 02/07/2018 07:37

Shouldn’t be falcon5 without a food source. I have had lots of rat magnets, chickens, horses, bedding, hay stores and a muck heap = rat magnets.

I have moved into a town with a courtyard garden, hence the wish to cover my bin/recycling boxes.

They look great @EspressoButler

Thanks for the recommendation.

falcon5 · 02/07/2018 22:29

Ahhh.. that makes sense. With us the advice may have been a combination of those rat magnets you mention along with another outdoor house for them :)

EspressoButler...can you tell me the secret of your success with Gardencolours ? Had mine on order since May and had nothing but excuses about how busy they are and now told a delivery was due but Parcel Force have no record of it and we are currently £400 out of pocket!
Patience is a virtue but I’m fast losing mine 😊
