I have a property with a flying freehold and the deeds are wrong. On my deeds I'm showing to own next doors front bedroom, has anyone else had to change their deeds and how long? and how much? does it cost please. I need to place my property on the market now and really need this amended, any help would be much appreciated.

When did you buy your house? Could you contact your solicitor that did the conveyencing? I thought this was something that they should have picked up at the time.

I realised not long after I'd bought mine that the deeds were wrong so I contacted my solicitor and they sorted it out and didnt charge me.

I bought the house very cheap knowing there was the original problem and i didn't need a mortgage so the sale went through without a problem . But now I need to either remortgage or sell and I need to amend the deeds but I have no idea of the time line or cost of doing this . I am in possession of my deeds wouls this make it easier. I'm just hoping it won't take forever ..

Speak to whoever you want to do your sale/mortgage if it needs doing regardless.
It should be pretty straightforward but you'll need someone to draw up a proper plan.
You'll be able to do it alongside the sale/mortgage. Just tell the other party what is happening.
