Missing Deeds

Hi

I'll also post this in legal. Really looking for some advise...

If you were buying a house and it was missing the covenants from the deeds, would this stop you purchasing?

What problems is this likely to cause?

If the missing deeds are old and were not provided to the Land Registry on first registration, then an indemnity policy would cover the risk of any breaches of covenant.

My current house has missing deeds. We have an indemnity policy to protect us if needed and the policy can be passed on to the next owner.
