Would you choose same colour island?

Or a different colour? Kitchen is fairly large it's ivory gloss and a wood worktop. Want an island but I'm not sure I want the exact same as the rest of the kitchen. Love pastel shades but want it to be timeless.

What do you think? Keep the island the same as the rest of the kitchen or different?

I'd probably keep it the same. Unless you match it to your back splash but that's probably too dark for you.

I have a two tones of grey in my kitchen units, darker grey on the bottom, pale grey doors on the top half with a bright purple hand painted farmhouse style island. The island and the kitchen units have matching white marbled worktops to tie them together.
